Killdeer Mounains

We had to take a detour on our way up north today, and ended up driving through the Killdeer Mountains (they're really just hills). It was a beautiful drive. We'll definitely take this road more often now that we know it's here.

Highway 12 Between Lemmon, SD and Hettinger, ND

Someone's field is trying to land in the next county. This made for some hazardous driving conditions for a short distance. My car was not happy either.

The wind was blowing at a steady 50+ mph today, with gusts up to 70 mph. Ouch!!
